International House Toronto is a member of the International House World Organization, an educational trust founded in 1953 by John and Brita Haycraft. Their aim was to raise the standards of language teaching world-wide and this aim has remained central to the organization since. The network of schools affiliated with International House has grown to over 120 and are located in more than 42 different countries.

Located in Toronto, Canada's largest city and one of the world's most desirable places to live, International House Toronto took its first registration in 1996. The school's founding philosophy was to offer high quality English programs in a warm and comfortable atmosphere for our traveling students.

International House Toronto is located in a historic building that has been known as the Blake Mansion since 1872.

The school opened its doors in 1996 with only one student and in 2006, hosted over 2000 students from around the world! Although IH Toronto has grown in size, our philosophy has stayed the same. As part of our commitment to providing excellence to you, we offer programs with a maximum class size of nine students. We have kept this commitment even through the busiest seasons and years.
